About Head Start

Head Start Coaching was born out of a passion for nurturing young talent in a fun, friendly environment. It all started in a university house, where Liam discovered his love for sports and coaching while working with children. He saw firsthand how impactful early exposure to sports could be, igniting a spark of confidence and teamwork in even the youngest athletes. 

During his university days, Liam met Holly, who shared his enthusiasm for sports and education. Their connection grew as they exchanged ideas and dreams about creating a positive impact in children’s lives. As their relationship deepened, so did their shared vision of coaching young children aged 2-5, giving them the head start they need in their sporting journeys. After graduation, they transformed their dream into reality by founding Headstart Coaching. With a commitment to creating a supportive atmosphere, they designed schemes of work that introduce children to a variety of sports while focusing on fun and friendship. They believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore their potential and develop a love for physical activity. 

Today, Liam and Holly run Headstart Coaching together as a family, with their lively three-year-old son, Arthur, often inspiring their work. Their approach centers around making sports enjoyable and accessible, ensuring that each child feels valued and encouraged. As we continue to grow, our mission remains steadfast: to provide a nurturing environment where children can develop their skills, confidence, and love for sports.

Our philisophy is to create a fun friendly environment where children can confidently learn and discover skills. The programme has been created by qualified P.E teachers, sports coaching scientists and early years specialists. 

We offer a range of fun and engaging programmes for children of all ages. Our Nursery Classes provide a nurturing environment for early learning, while our exciting Holiday Camps keep kids entertained and active during school breaks. Our After School Clubs offer a variety of creative and educational activities to complement their learning.
